Piece / set

Hi teachers,

Quote from AlpheccaStars:

"pieces of door handles" means parts of handles, not complete handles. If I have 8 pieces of door handles, I might not be able to construct a single complete handle.

1. Would 8 sets of door handles a natural way to say?

2. Could I say 8 sets/pieces of door handle and still be natural? (handle: singular)

3. Could a set have a mutiple pieces in it?

Thank you.
