Overall, it can be easily seen that the building industry and manufacturing witnessed a downward trend in the consumption of water, as opposed to the other three sectors during the research period. In addition, food industry sector used the most water

In 1997, people used 5% of the amount of water in the building industry, which was 3 times smaller than manufacturing. 10 years later, both the building industry and manufacturing decreased to 2% and 11% in order.

Moving to other sectors. At first, the food industry occupied nearly half of the total water used. There was a gap of 6% between service industry and household use with 13 and 19% respectively. However, this gap was narrowed to 4% due to the rise in the usage of water of these two categories, 25 and 21% in order. Although the food industry saw a decrease, being responsible for 41% of the total water, it still comprised the most water used.
