Physique vs Body

Hi,

1) I am confused at the use (with the use?) of these two words - physique and body. Can you explain the use please.

2) How do we explain grammatically the construction being done with this:

In China, where a one-child policy is strictly enforced, prenatal sex selection has resulted in

an estimated 40 million bachelors. (from the HIT)

Also, in regard to the pharenthetical words or phrases like "from the HIT" here, where should we place them, inside the sentence or outside the sentence?

1) "Physique" refers to both the body itself and its condition or appearance. For instance, if you saw a man with a lot of muscles, it would be more appropriate to describe him as having a "muscular physique" than a "muscular body". 2) The parentheses should be placed within sentence.
