Physiology

Hello, Sirs,

Can I say "one's physiology" when I mean "one's bodily functions/characteristics?"
E.g. "how your body reacts to the substance depends on your physiology."

I googled the word but am not certain.

I'd reserve "metabolism" for processing food. "Physiology" includes other biochemical processes.
