Physical appearance

Hi teachers,

I'm having trouble in understanding which is the proper question for physical appearance.

I understand that we use "be" with adjectives to describe conditions, physical characteristics, age, and personality.

1. Peter is sick. (condition)

2. The shop is big. (physical characteristic)

3. Ken is ten. (age)

4. Lisa is friendly. (personality)

So far so good.

Are the questions and answers correct asking for physical characteristics?

a) What does the boy look like? "He is tall" or "He looks tall".

b) What does the plane look like? "It is small" or "It looks small".

c) What does the girl look like? "She is happy" or "She looks happy".

d) What does the boy look like? "He is angry" or "He looks angry".

e) What does the boy look like? "He is thin" or "He looks thin".

f) What does the basket look like? "It is full" to "It looks full".

I know that "look" and "be" are different verbs with (in general) different meanings. In practice, do you often say someone looks angry even when they clearly are angry?

I appreciate your help.
