Phrases with double meanings?

I am reading a religious book that seems to be full of double meanings.

"being born of Goodly Parents"
this could mean is Mom and Dad or it could mean his God whom he claims is the father of his spirit.
is there a term for such double meanings? Not a word with double meaning rather a phrase with double meaning?
Thank you
