Yes, but "is running out" is more idiomatic, i.e., natural, than "is about to finish".
I'd say:
I'm running out of shower gel, so I'll have to buy (some) more the next time I go shopping.

If you have two bathrooms in your apartment and both have a bottle of shower gel, A- is correct as edited.
It needs a definitive article, "The".
