I have to write an invitation in which I ask the invitees to mark the date of the occasion on their calendar. Is there an classy way to do this in a formal invitation?
Something like this: Please mark the date of the inaugural festivities on your calendar.
or
option no. 2 "Please do remember to mark the date on your calendar".
The question is does this sound cheesy or is there a better way?

Top answer
Both sound fine to me; neither sounds cheesy. The 2nd is informal, the 1st more formal.
