I seem to have missed a point in analysing syntactic constituents. I mix up adverbials and d.O.. You have any advice on how to get it right??

There is no prep. phrase in this sentence. But, "through" in deed in a prep. Perhaps, it'd help if the sentence is formed this way:

She (S) picked (V) through her (O)vegetables (Adverb) listlessly.

She (S) picked (V) listlessly (Adverb) through her vegetables (Prep. Phrase).

I would love an answer to what the syntactic constituents are..

She (S) picked (V) listlessly (adverbial) through her vegetables ( yes a prep phrase, but what role has it in terms of s,v,d.o,i.O ect?)
