Phrase

Is this sentence correct:

"And in hand to his mother who pushed in with a large stride, the little boy didn't yet want to leave the party."

Note: By 'with a large stride', I meant that the mother was walking very quickly (or with large steps).

Top answer

Christine Christie Is this sentence correct: No. I don't know what "in hand to his mother" means. To stride is to walk with long steps, so "large" is redundant in addition to sounding odd.
