Phrasal verbs vs. Verbs with prepositions

I got some troubles when explaining about the differences between phrasal verbs and Verbs with prepositions.
Can you help me?

These points are apply in the exercises of Relative Pronouns with prepositions.
For Ex:
1. Renewable energy sources are difficult topics. I'm not familiar with these topics.

or___________________________which I'm not familiar with.
2. This country now has 300 wind turbines. The national network relies on these turbines.
--> ________________________on which ____________________________
