'Photographic' Pronouns

If someone labels a particular photograph, would it be "The kids and me" or "The kids and I"? If you break it down, you have two perspectives on this: "[This picture features or shows] the kids and me"; [This is a picture of] the kids and me." By the same token, "The kids and I [are in this picture]." Is there a right and wrong way here, or doesn't it really matter?

Thanks.

I have responded to this elsewhere (in a post I cannot find). I don't think it makes any difference at all, but others were concerned.
