The below is the normal conversation:

1) Look at the camera please. Father is taking photo / picture for us.

2) Look at your father please as father is taking photo for us.

In these sentenses, which word shall we use? "Photo or picture?

And also is the above sentenses correct?

Either photo or picture can be used with take:

If he's using a camera I'd go for "photo".

Hi,

When speaking in the context of cameras, I hear 'picture' almost exclusively, 'photo' very rarely.
