0With regard to the use of phonetic symbols, Hela-- this is an ongoing and unsolved problem both here and at other sites. Writing and reading them is dependent on the capabilities of one's browser. I had been using a schwa and a few other symbols for several months before I discovered that what looked fine to me appeared as meaningless shapes to my readers.
