Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
Actually I am not sure what the answer is because I dont know how to count the suffix -tion
I think communication is 9? c-o-mm-u-n-i-c-a-tion
Education is 6? e-d-u-c-a-tion
I would be happy if you could help me.

Here is the way to do this:

1) Print or open a phoneme chart for reference. This gives the IPA code for each sound (phoneme). https://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/article/phonemic-chart

2) Use a text-to-IPA converter for the words or phrases you want to analyze.
3) Count the phonemes in the converted word. Example:

communication = k?m?jun?'ke???n

Note that the IPA symbol (u: ) is written here as one phoneme: "ju"

Some people say it as three phonemes - /??n/, others as two -/?n/
