Phone loses battery gains battery

How would you naturally explain this and correctly say 1,2,3?

My phone was plugged in while I was watching a movie on it.

1 The battery isn’t charging. It is using more battery than it is getting from the wall.

2 The phone loses battery yet it is plugged in.

3 The phone isn’t gaining battery yet it is plugged in.
