Paul : ............ (not important, I am sure his English was perfect...too much.... Emotion: sweating)
Me: I called many times but you weren´t there, I was told that you were out of office
Paul.......
Me: I hope you had great Holidays
Paul......
Me: I would like to ask you if you received my 3 e-mails
Paul.......
Me: great, please take your time, you can write your suggestions by e-mail and we shall get in touch next week

Please tell me if my sentences were accetable.... I was very embarrassed, Paul has a crazy British accent, he speaks so fast...Emotion: sweating During our conversation I got only few words Emotion: sweating but then when I put them all together I understood the whole meaning.......

Pamela81 Please tell me if my sentences were acceptable.... Hi Yes, it can be sometimes embarassing if you have bad English when the person you are speaking to has a great command over his or her language. But in your case, it is not very much so, I feel.

Pamela, just a couple of suggestions.
"nonsense" can only be used in the singular, so "nonsenses" is bad English. Also, "speak bad English" rather than "have a bad English". (no article is used in this phrase)

Hi, Ivanhr

thank you for the suggestions. I´ll remember them.

What about the rest?

Your side of the conversation seems fine to me. The one suggestion I would make is that instead of "I can hear you" you could have said something like "I'm glad I finally reached you." or "It's good to finally talk to you."

Hi Pam,
I think our opinion is based upon your description of the conversation, but we don't know how well you know Paul. If this is the first time you talked to this person, or event the second time, I think "finally I could reach you" offers a sense of "impatience" to me. Personally I would just say " Hi Paul, How was your time off. I called a couple of time and learned that you were on hol

Hi Disumexpress,
nice suggestions, thanks! I would have never said "I learned that" in this case, now I know that it´s possible. "To take a look at the mails" is American way to say "to have a look at the mails"?

I know Paul, it wasn´t the first time I called him, I hope he didn´t feel impatience from my words....maybe he didn´t

Pamela81By "ans we shall get in touch next week" I mean that I will call him or he will write me, I did not specify how we will get in touch. Is this wrong?
It's not wrong, as I said in my original reply your side of the conversation was fine. You didn't say anything impolite or inappropriate.
