Phone Call ( On/With)

Hello
I have a question in regards of the proper preposition usage for the following situation…
If I physically used my phone to make phone call, I would say “I called X on my phone” Or is it “ I called X with my phone.”
But, I can take the example “ I called X with my phone” as I am making the call with the presence of my cellphone. Am I wrong?
Another situation is if you are calling someone you would also say “I call X on his phone”
So, I could take example 1 “ I call X on my phone” as: I use a different phone and dial my phone number because X has my phone.
Therefore if I wanted to say that I used my phone to give somebody a phone call, according to the explanation used below, this would be the result right?
“I call X on my phone on her phone” is this correct?
I don’t know but to me it sounds incorrect, and I would like to know how to put it properly or if it’s correct
I hope this situation that I put up got across. I am so confused in regard of who to use the correct preposition.
I appreciate your help and don’t mind doing some grammatical corrections along the way, I love to learn from my errors… THANKS!!

Of course, normally it is not necessary to specify which phone was used to make or receive call. One would simply say "I called X". If for some reason I did need to specify which phone I used to make the call, I would say "on" or "using". You may also hear "with". There is little danger that "with" will be misunderstood as "in the company of" in this context. If there seems a danger of ambiguity w
