Hello,

1. Neha's ( the name of a girl) phones to his mother.

I have to correct this sentence.

I wrote it

a) Neha's father phones his mother.

But teacher said , 'It is wrong.' The correct version of the above sentence is as shown below (b).

b) Neha's father phones her mother.

I want to know that (a) is really wrong?

If Neha is a girl, then she phones HER mother. If all you were supposed to do was correct the sentence, then fix the "his" by making it "her."
