phd cover letter, i am not good at writing

This letter is in response to the announcement posted on your webpage regarding the PhD scholarship currently available under Professor xxxx & xxxxxauspices. I would like to apply for this position and I believe my academic background and experience are well suited for the needs of this endeavour.
I have done my Diploma , then Graduation in, Post-graduation in I have a sound knowledge of the Processing of Plastics & Polymer, Testing of plastic materials, rheology of filled materials that are most importantly needed in composite & nanocomposite preparation.

As my curriculum vitae indicate, I have been exposed to excellent opportunities concerning research and laboratory-based environments. My problem-solving and analytical skills have flourished and I have expanded my network of experts within several relevant fields. I have also gained valuable understanding of the ethics and rules of conduct laboratories adhere to and have developed the necessary skills to manage, lead and collaborate effectively with different sets of people.

I believe that I have the capability and potential to fulfil this PhD position and am confident that I could be an active, open-minded and useful researcher.
