It is a great honor to write to you. I am writing to you in order to apply for the doctoral position in XXXXX. In February 2015, I got a Masters Degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from Arts, Sciences and Technology University in Lebanon. During my academic years, I developed a strong interest in applications related to communications especially in controlling and securing such systems. My senior project was about an automated system for checking the authenticity of cars entering a security sensitive zone. Throughout my Masters years, I have worked as an assistant in the computer engineering department as I participated in the departmental work. In addition to that, I had the chance to instruct labs of the following courses: Electric Circuits, Electronics, microprocessor, and Matlab. My thesis “Intelligent Travel Visa System” is related to the protection of personal information of a traveler from being hacked and introduces a different approach in securing theses information aside from the microcontroller chip. During the work on the thesis, I obtained skills in Visual Basic programming, microcontroller programming, and designing and developing electronic circuits that serves the desired purpose. For my future career, I see this PhD program is the way to broaden my knowledge in designing and implementing controlled communication systems and applications as well as use them in serving humanity.
