Pfiz

Hello,

I looked it up in everywhere I could find but it didn't help. What does "a pfiz! drive" mean? The whole sentence is as follows:

"I went back up to my father's study to turn off the computer. I'd noticed earlier that he had a pfiz! drive, and on impulse I dumped a backup onto the disk in the machine."

Thanks in advance,

Dilan.

Perhaps it's a drive making this kind of noise, indicating that it is on the verge of failure.

It seemed possible, thanks a lot. At least now I have an idea.
