Petition

Hello,
Say if I am writing a letter to a government agency to request them to process my application for a certain permit (say Permit A), and say I want to give this letter a formal title, can I call it "A Petition for Processing my Application for a Permit A"?

Does this title work?

Thank you.

Hi, It depends on how obsequious people in your country are, when dealing with the government. A more usual subject wording in Canada would be eg Application for a Permit A. Clive
