I'm not a native english speaker.
Please tell me the precise meaning of the word "pervasive".
¿How generalized or acute has to be something to be called "pervasive"?, ¿the majority of the time?
Thank you so much for any help
This is a word you might see in a magazine or textbook, but not something you'd hear in everyday conversation or see in casual writing. I'm a native English speaker in the US, and I've never used it in speech or writing in my life. This is a word that's difficult to use casually without sounding overly-formal and stilted.

The former anonymous reply is correct, but it should be pointed out that it is not a rare word, that it is in the active vocabulary of every well-educated person. I suppose it is in the passive vocabulary of all literate people, meaning they understand it when they hear it but would never use it themselves. A pervasive thing is not acute but is spread throughout. It is everywhere and obvious,
