Do you mind telling us a little more about your assignment(s)? This does not sound like something that needs persuasive arguments (e.g. I propose this because of these reasons...).

you will first have to decide which side you stand on......Do you think that discipline is a good thing or a bad thing. Do you think children should be whipped or do you think words are enough? First you have to decide then argue your case, but don't cross over into the other side...example..
