Personal thing

Hi!

Can I say this sentence when I´m speaking about my privacy:

" I do not tell him, it´s my personal thing"

Does it work?

Do you have any suggestions? "private thing" for example?

Thanks

'It is a private matter'. A 'personal thing' is an idiosyncratic skill, bias or attitude.

Thanks! It was of help!

If I say "it´s a matter of privacy" does it sound weird?

Thank

Yes - that changes the thrust of the statement. Your point is, I suppose, the particular private piece of information and not a discussion on the topic of 'privacy'.
