Person come in handy

correct if not idiomatic
Its for a character who is very mean.

My assistants are all useless. They are all just a waste of the air they breathe in. This guy at least came in handy. He's the first assistant to ever come in handy.

I don't know if you know what I mean by They are all just a waste of the air they breathe in. as it mustn't make sense?

bye bye

I would delete the "in" since it is unnecessary. " is like saying, they are not useful for anything. "come in handy", means being useful, typically for a specific purpose/task.

  • This may imply that this help was short-lived, but relative to the other assistants who were useless, this guy was more useful.

So none of the sentences need to be changed? Are they all idiomatic in USA or England?
