Person B: Thanks for the good wishes.

Hi

Person A: I hope you get well soon.

Person B: Thanks for the good wishes.

Does Person A mean 'good wishes' for Person B by saying "I hope"? Is Person B's response correct?

"hope" does mean close to 'wish' or 'desire'.

Please help me with it. Thank you.
