Perplexing sentences

1. Rewrite the following sentence using the word in brackets:

He plays well so he scores a lot of goals. (If)

My answer:

If he doesn't play well, he won't score many goals.

Or:

If he didn't play well, he wouldn't score many goals

My Egyptian teacher told me that my second answer is not correct.

Is that right?

2. I don't have anyone.......with this math problem.

a) to help b) helping

I think both 'a' & 'b' are OK.
