Can the words "permanent student" be used for "full-time student"?
In the following situation, what do you think is the best interpretation of the words?
(At first I thought it as "permanet residents" but in second thought, it might mean different thing, so...)

thanks

For thirty years I had a permanent job as church musician (Sunday service and Thursday choir practice), but my full-time job (Mon-Fri 8-4) was teaching.

Many full-time students (probably closer to 15 hours per week in class than to a 40-hour work week) must also work at part-time jobs to pay for expenses.
