In the absence of a formal complimentary closing – such as 'Sincerely yours' or 'Yours truly' – do we use a comma or a period after 'Thanks' and 'Thank you' when we close out a memo or email?
eg
Dear Ashley,
Thank you for your recent participation... Blah blah blah
Thanks, <--comma or period after 'Thanks'?

This question again?! I use a comma, but a period is also fine.
