Perfectly parallel?

Parallelism spot on in these? BTW, hyphen between 'spot' and 'on'?

1) He is not only the hair club president but also a client.

2) He likes not only fishing but also hunting.
Better than: "He not only likes fishing but also hunting." I believe "likes" offsets the parallel structure in this one – it's somewhat of a "curve ball", if you will.

  • victo Parallelism spot on in these?
  • Yes.

  • You could, but I’d say it’s absolutely necessary only if the phrase is used as an attributive modifier ( a spot-on imitation ).
