Percentage of vs Part of
Which would you say please?
1 Every time you gambled an extra time you won a higher percentage/percent of the pot.
2 What part of/percentage/percent of you thought he would do that.

This is an area of personal preference more than correct or incorrect. Either is technically correct. My personal preference, and what I hear more often is: 1) percent 2) part of you I think the reason the second answer is preferable is because, in speaking of yourself, one has a tendency to speak in terms of Parts, rather than Percentages; whereas, in the gambling example, percentages are more natural.
