Percentage and percent

Do I have to use percentage in the question and percent in the answer?

What percentage of the classes has better than a 3.2 GPA?

Only 26 percent of the class has better than a 3.2 GPA.

Is it correct to ask for a 'percentage figure'?
How much of the class has better than a 3.2 GPA? Could you give me a percentge figure as opposed to the number of students?
