To be honest, I doubt I would use either one of your sentences. I'd expect something along the lines of one of these, for example:

"What was your grade on the English test?"
"What did you ge

I agree. I don't think either question is idiomatic. "Grade" and "score" are idiomatic, as well as "What did you get?"

Many tests are not scored/graded on a percentage basis. If you're familiar enough with the test to ask the question, you probably know how it's graded.

The replies would be more specific. "I got an F." "85." "85%." "I scored eighteen out of a po
