people / the people who work here

I found this sentence in my grammar book:

All the cars in this car park belong to people who work here.

Could you confirm if it is correct?

Specifically, is there some article-related inconsistency here? On the one hand we have the cars (because it is a specific subset of cars (being in that car park)), on the other hand we have people without the, yet this is similarly a specific subset of people (working there).

It's correct.

To my ear, All these cars belong to the people who work here could mean that all the people who work here collectively own all the cars, which is not the intended meaning.

Without "the" I get the impression that each car is owned by some individual, uns

Reegis It may sound odd but such a little thing as articles is one of the most difficult aspects of English for me.
Don't worry about it. I find it difficult to give completely satisfactory explanations for some uses of the articles, and I have been working at it for nearly fifty years.
