People believe that not all school children have the natural ability to learn new language so schools should not force school children to study a foreign language. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In this day and age, learning a foreign language has be come more and more common in almost every country in the world. However, many people still hold the view that students should not be forced to learn a new language as they do not have inborn capability of doing so. Personally, I totally disagree with this viewpoint.

To begin with, the way a language is taught at schools if methodical. Teachers have already had experience in learning that tongue so they can help students minimze mistakes. Therefore, school children can get to know that language easily and correcrly.

Furthermore, pupils do not need to have a flair for a foreign language as practice makes perfect. Learning it at schools can be considered a basis and a motivation for children to become excellent at that new language since the learning evironment gives them basic knowledge and creates competitiveness for learners. It is often said that if one spend more than 10 thousand hours on a particular field, that person would be extremely good at it.

Last but not least, being methodically taught a foreign language at educational institutions in general can help students get more job opportunities in the future. These days, when globalization becomes an inevitable trend, lots of foreign companies will be investing in other countries so there would be plenty of jobs which required employees to be fluent in a forgeign language, take English for an example.

To sum up, school children should be obliged to learn a foreign language at schools even if they do not have natural ability to learn it because they will gain lots of benefits in the future if they are able to use a new language.
