This kind of 'people', Clive (notice the plural). It's about a certain group of people

DIfferent peoples have different cultures.

Hi,

I would say 'they'

eg DIfferent peoples have different cultures, but they all like Pepsi.

Clive An ancient people built temples in Central Mexico, but they never invented the wheel.
So it's 'they' even when it refers to a people, the singular. Interesting.

Even if it were 'a race' instead, would it still be 'they'?

Can you think of an example where you think you'd refer to 'a people' as 'it?

I think I still prefer 'they', but 'it' does not sound impossible here,.

I'd hesitate to say that 'a people
