MY LIFE CLOSED TWICE
My life closed twice before it's close;
It yet remains to see
If Immortality unveil
A third event to me,
So huge, so hopeless to conceive
As these that twice befell.
Parting is all we know of heaven,
And all we need of hell.
Questions:
Explain these paradoxes.
1-the speaker's life closed twice before it's close.
2-death and entry into immortality may possibly be "lesser" events than two not extraordinary occurrences that happened during the speaker's lifetime.
3-Parting from a loved one is both heaven and hell.
