peaking at number 5

this is what I read "this song enters the Pop albums chart peaking at number 5 "
does it mean that the song rank as number 5 at the first time it enters the chart, or it enters the chart ranking at certain number which is maybe lower than 5 and It goes up the rank up to number 5 ?
I am a foreign student learning English, help me please ~
