Peaked at the right time, had their moments

It was very tense out there. We peaked at the right time in the tournament. The middle order stepped up and I thought 208 was a competitive total. Every one had their moments in the tournament. We are going to celebrate with our parents tonight.

After winning the world-cup final, the Australian captain said the above paragraph while attending the final ceremony to collect the trophy.

Could you please explain to me the emboldened parts?

I guess "peaked" means "outperformed" and "had their moments" means "every one contributed in the tournament".

Also, I wonder if we say "final ceremony" to mean "the last part of any match with a small stage and when winner is given the trophy and asked to say a few words".
