Paying Tax_Agree or Disagree?

Some people believe they should keep all the money they have earned and should not be pay tax to the state. Do you agree or disagree?

It is argued that residents should keep all their income instead of spending a part of it on taxes with the government. I personally totally disagree with this statement, as I believe that paying tax is a duty of each citizen.

There is no denying that refusing to pay tax is a wrong action. People use social infrastructure and services, such as parks or hospitals, that are built by tax revenues. Thus, it is unfair if they ignore their civic duty to pay taxes. In addition, residents can receive retirement pensions and social grants that they used to contribute to at younger ages. Tax payment is regarded as an obligation of each citizen when it aims to ensure their residents have a good life at their advanced age.

It is worthwhile that inhabitants can benefit from paying taxes. When people spend a small amount of their salary on tax payments, this means that they also directly contribute to building society's welfare, such as healthcare facilities or road construction, which boosts the quality of their lives. For example, the government is likely to allocate this money to finance educational policies, helping children have more opportunities to learn with a better curriculum. Furthermore, it is noted that tax revenues can be used to maintain national security. By paying taxes, people can fund police forces that protect them daily from criminals and keep their lives safe.

In conclusion, I do not agree with avoiding paying taxes and keeping all the money of some people. Due to the long-term benefits not only for citizens but also for countries, people should have the duty to spend their income by paying taxes.
