Pay...

1.We pay half price for the second item.
2. We pay at a 50% discount for the second item.
3. We pay a 50% discount for the second item.

Asked by a non-native speakers, I told her i have never come across number 2 & 3. Please indicate if I am wrong.

it should be.

2 We buy the second item at a 50% discount.
3.We get a 50% discount for the second item.

If I were to use the word "discount", most probably I would say "We get a 50% discount on the second item."

I don't understand what you mean by "info transfer section", but quite probably it doesn't matter for your question.

"We only pay 50% for the second packet" would be understood and accepted in everyday language. In more careful English, such as in a written explanation, it is probably best to say "50% of the regular price" in full.
