Past tenses..

when "DID NOT" is used in sentence do we use simple present tense with it or past tense??
Which of these is appropriate- "DID NOT FIND or DID NOT FOUND"??

You use the basic, dictionary or infinitive form of the verb. It is 'do' (or in my 3rd example 'will') that has tense: He doesn't find it. He didn't find it.
