Past tense or present tense ?

why people says ' Please be sitted '.Why need to use past tense in this sentence ? I thought need to use present tense sit because the action haven't happened yet ?

Please be seated. Seated is a past participle, and is used with be/get.

please be seated/please get seated - both are grammatically correct.

They do not say that. They say 'Please be seated'.

The past form of sit is sat: sit / sat / sat
The past form of seat is seated: seat / seated / seated.
In the above sentence, the past participle is used as an predicate adjective:

(Please be seated = Please sit down = Please take/have a seat.)
