The tricky, confusing thing is that we're talking about the verb "to bear."

Present tense: She bears another child every year.

Past tense: She bore me a sister in 1975.

Future passive: How many children will be born in 2010?

(All passive voice tenses use the same past participle.)

Both of the sentences are wrong. You should say 'I was born in 1988'.

The form of this vocabulary could be verb and adjective form.

In case of verb form, it's used only in the passive without preposition 'by'.

the former one correct because the past tense of borne is borne .
