Past tense- now
He told me we were friends and (just) now he sent me hate mail. - implied just
2. He told me we were friends and now he sends me hate mail.
2. He told me we were friends and now he sends me hate mail.
In number one, is it ok to use “sent” since the now I meant was just now =earlier?
Number 2: now = present.
