Is this sentence correct?

"One time, a woman told me that I don't understand English and asked if I was a worker for a garment's factory".

"garment" - without the 's.
Some would prefer "didn't", in indirect quote. I think it's debatable.

. . . I was a worker for a garment factory.

Generally, I'd say you are a worker for a company (in the sense that a company is owned by people) but that you are a worker in a factory (because a factory is a place, not a person).
