i am confused in whether add "to" or not

sometimes,we say : go to bed,go to cinema,go to party,go to school......there are more expression as it,why donot add "to"in that sentence when we say "go there"?tell me the reason pls?

other question?it is a past tense in this sentence, also,it is a question,we put auxil.v. "did" in the head of sentence, why do we use the verb.of original

go to bed, go to cinema, go to party, go to school

You should notice that all these "bed""cinema""school" are nouns, and "go" is an intransitive verb. There's gotta be some preposition between them. That's why "to" appears here.

go there

"there" is an adverb used to modify the verb "go". There is no need to add other prepositions here. So, we do not use "to".

My questions are:

1.it is a past tense in this sentence, also,it is a question,we put auxil.v. "did" in the head of sentence, why do we use the verb.of original shape in back but to keep the consistent as head?

2.pls advise how about "go home"?the "home" was a noun, but there is not a preposition in front of it,why?

thank you

Hello Mr Pig (Are you any relation to El Porco Rosso?)--

I went home. (affirmative past declarative)
I did go home (affirmative past intensive declarative)
I didn't go home. (negative past declarative)
Did you go home? (affirmative past interrogative)
Didn't you go home? (negative past interrogative)

In English, only one verb of a verb phra
