Which option is correct:
He lived/has lived in London for 3 years, but he lives in NY now.
He went/has been to NY 3 times, but he is back in London now.

Either option for either case is grammatically correct for a variety of situations, but they emphasize slightly different things.

He lived in London for three years, but he lives in NY now. (as if he lived in London at some indefinite point in the past but moved to NY thereafter, and remains there now)

He has lived in London for three years, but he lives in NY now.

DoNotPassGoSlight detail, but you should spell out single digit whole numbers. 3 --> three, and so on.
I didn't know there was such rule, I will remember about it now
